Built at a lighthouse, for lighthouses.
Cana Crew was built at Cana Island Lighthouse in Door County, Wisconsin, to run a season of paid staff, volunteers, docents and drivers that the weather can close in minutes.

What a lighthouse season needs
- One schedule, a manager on duty every day. Paid staff and volunteers on the same calendar, with the day's lead marked.
- Weather Safety Protocol. Lightning within a set distance, wind over a limit, heat or cold closes the tower or the grounds. Everyone working is told at once, and the manager gets a countdown to confirm or stay open. It uses free National Weather Service feeds.
- A tower counter. Tap climbers in and out, see how many are up top against your limit, and get an evening report with the day's busiest hours.
- Drivers only when you need them. Shuttle, tram or tractor drivers are asked for only on the days that need one, and only from certified drivers.
- Docents and set tour times. Keeper's house tours at set times, filled only by people with the right badge.
- A Panic Button. Medical emergency, missing child, aggressive visitor: anyone working taps what happened, and everyone on site is told at once.
- Opening and closing week checks. Two weeks out, the administrators confirm the first and last days, so nobody is scheduled on a day you're closed.
- Call-outs covered and timesheets kept. One tap starts the search for cover; staff clock in on a phone.
What it costs
$150 a year for the whole site: unlimited staff, volunteers and locations, so a friends group with a lighthouse and a museum pays once. Setup is done for you. The 60-day free trial counts from the first day of your season, and the first five places to sign up get their first full year free.
