Accessibility
Last reviewed October 26, 2026
Cana Crew should work for everyone who runs a site or works a shift, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification, or captions. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the standard most widely used for websites in the United States.
What we've done
- Checked every page of canacrew.org, the sign-in screens, and the main screens inside the scheduling program (Today, the calendar, a day, Settings, People, Hours, Events, Help, the walk-through, the counter and the setup interview) with an automated accessibility checker (axe), and fixed what it found.
- Inside the program, everything that opens with a tap also opens from a keyboard (Tab, then Enter), pop-up sheets are announced by their title and close with Escape, and every screen has a title a screen reader can find.
- Every box on our forms has a label a screen reader can read, and error messages are announced.
- Both videos have captions you can turn on, and the full narration is written out below each one.
- Text is dark enough against its background to read, and every picture that carries meaning has a description.
- Everything can be reached with a keyboard, with a visible outline showing where you are, and a "Skip to the page" link at the top.
- Pages work when zoomed to 200% and on phones, and nothing flashes or moves on its own.
What we're still working on
An automated checker can't catch everything, and the program changes often. The bars under "Who's working" are drawn as a picture of the day; a screen reader reads each person's name and hours, but not the picture itself. If anything gets in your way, please tell us at the address above; it moves that screen to the front of the line.
Other formats
If you need anything on this site, the Terms of Service or the Privacy page in another form, such as large print or plain text by email, ask and we'll send it.
